Meet Sherlock Cromes & Dr. Waterson: The Heart of Maple Glen
Every great mystery needs a steady hand and a sharp eye. In the sun-dappled town of Maple Glen, we’re lucky enough to have two.
Sherlock Cromes and Dr. Waterson are an unlikely pair of detectives who spend their days untangling the curious happenings of their community. Sometimes, the mystery is as small as a misplaced blueberry pie or a set of muddy footprints winding through the park. Other times, things get a little more... peculiar. A statue that seems to change its pose when no one is looking, or a mysterious lantern glowing softly down at the docks.
No matter the puzzle, you can bet that Sherlock and Waterson are already on the case. But while they share a mission, these two detectives couldn’t be more different.
Sherlock Cromes: The Stillness in the Storm
Sherlock Cromes is the most observant soul in Maple Glen. A small green lizard with a gentle disposition, he is the master of the "long look."
Sherlock never rushes. While others are running in circles, he is watching, listening, and noticing the tiny whispers of a story that everyone else misses—a crooked leaf, a faint whistle, or a clue hiding in plain sight.
When Sherlock finds that one vital piece of the puzzle, he’ll tilt his head, a small smile appearing on his face, and whisper his favorite word:
“Curious…”
He loves a steaming cup of tea, a sunlit nook for thinking, and that magical moment when a jumble of facts finally clicks into a clear picture. He may not be the fastest detective in the Glen, but he’s certainly the one who sees the furthest.
Dr. Waterson: The Spark of Action
If Sherlock is the stillness, Dr. Waterson is the movement.
An energetic otter with a heart as big as his curiosity, Waterson approaches every mystery with a joyful splash. Where Sherlock studies the clues, Waterson dives into the world. He’s the one knocking on doors, asking the bold questions, and following his instincts wherever they lead—often running headlong into a situation before Sherlock has even finished his tea.
Waterson’s enthusiasm is infectious. He brings laughter to serious moments and a sense of "we can do this!" to every challenge. When things get a little chaotic (as they often do in the heat of an investigation), you’ll usually find Waterson right in the center of it all, grinning and ready for the next lead.
Why They Click
At first glance, you might wonder how a quiet, contemplative lizard and a high-energy, adventurous otter make it work. One prefers a map; the other prefers a trail. One reasons with logic; the other moves with heart.
But that contrast is exactly why they are inseparable. We like to say:
Waterson moves the world. Sherlock understands it.
Sherlock notices the clues buried in the world, and Waterson is the one with the energy to uncover them. Together, they solve the mysteries that neither could crack alone. They aren't just partners; they are the perfect balance.
A Day in Maple Glen
Maple Glen is more than just a town—it’s a home. It’s the smell of fresh muffins drifting from the bakery on Baker Street and the sound of laughter echoing through the Town Square during the autumn festivals. It’s a place where the neighbors are friendly and the water at the wharf is calm—most of the time.
Life here is usually peaceful, but when the unusual happens, the townspeople know exactly who to look for. They look for a small lizard in a thoughtful pose and an otter with a spring in his step.
The Adventure is Just Beginning
Sherlock and Waterson are only just getting started. In the coming weeks, we’ll be opening the gates to more of Maple Glen. We’ll introduce you to the friends who live here and invite you along for the mysteries that keep our duo on their toes.
Because in Maple Glen, every mystery begins with the same simple question:
“What happened here?”
Sherlock Cromes is ready to find out. Are you?
